This one is an ACEO. I'm doing the "Painting a day" thing (at least one) and I love it when someone throws an idea out there as a challenge, and in a recent email an there was a list of themes to do each week. The picture to the left is one I did a few weeks ago, but the other one is a Theme Week picture. Both are ACEO (2.5X3.5 original watercolors).
The one for this week was food and I just happened to be fixing breakfast and it sort of just smiled back at me. So this is a miniature result. I should have added in the pico de gallo I had with it, it was a nice color addition and tasty too! I'm learning all the time!
I like the lighting you put into the brook image (the one on the left). I like the light added to the back areas - that and the river draws my eye into the painting. Your food painting looks very tasty. And love the 2 eyes with the mouth effect, and the little "ears" on the pan. A terrific, fun painting.
ReplyDeleteDon't know how you work so small, ACEO - I haven't tried that yet and worry I'll go blind as I try to put in too many details!
Since you haven't put your VP painting on your blog yet, I'll leave a comment about it on this one. Like what you did. Interesting scene. Good job! Composition great, interesting people, colors good. Thanks for sharing.
